Istria to Venice
 

How to get from Istria to Venice? Understand rental car cannot be picked up in Croatia and dropped off in Venice. Have found a website listing bus travel from /Rovijn and Pula to Venice ; however the site doesn't work and contact must be via email. Any suggestions are welcome.

Bus as you've found, or bus to Trieste and then train to Venice - or at the right time of year you can take the fast ferry from Rovinj to Venice

We took the ferry from Venice to Rovinj and it was the perfect trip. Highly recommend the ferry. 2 and a half hours. Very nice seating; no waves.

We bought our tickets on the Venezia website, no problems. You can also call them. Our ferry in the last week in May was full. I think it worthwhile to buy ahead. Ferry also stops in Porac.

Venice by bus with www.brioni.hr or more options to Trieste and onwards by train.

yes; Brioni.hr is the website; however in the booking field you cannot enter a destination city in the dropdown menu; Travelling in October so ferry unfortunately is not an option

Be aware that the portion of the trip in Italy is about as unscenic as you can possibly imagine, until, of course, you cross the causeway into Venice. Do it the fastest, cheapest way you can.
