Main point for street celebrations are in Taksim square. There are a lot of parties going on at bars, restaurants and hotels. Walking down to Istiklal from Taksim will be a challange that night. Best to book a restaurant and have some fun with locals.

Happy travelling,

change of plans. Dec. 24 is our first night in Istanbul so we would like to go to the Blue Mosque and maybe one other sight. Maybe a Turkish Bath?

For Xmas midnight Mass, there are some churches in Istiklal Caddesi where you could go.

For a Turkish bath, go to Cemberlitas, a 10 min walk from the square beween Aya Sophia and Blue Mosq, in the direction of the Grand Bazaar.
