Istanbul weather in Oct/Nov

I am planning a second-time visit to Istanbul in mid October and maybe early November. Does anyone know what the weather is like during these months? I realize it will be cold but hope there won't be rain at this time.

Thanks for any information:)

The first time I was there was November 2000 and I remember it being a bit chilly but not terribly cold.

The second time I was there in December 2008 and I didn't wear a coat or even a light jacket in the daytime. Maybe I just got lucky and it was unseasonably warm but it was really quite pleasant. And I am not one who is accustomed to cold weather, as I live in a very warm climate.

I was lucky enough not to see rain on either visit but of course that's never a guarantee.

Here are some weather stats for Istanbul, I think October will be a great time to visit.

We were there in late October/early November last year. Most of the time was beautiful; shirtsleeve weather. We did have a day of rain where it was chilly, but otherwise it was gorgeous. I used www.weatherunderground.com to help in planning what clothes to take. I agree that October is a great time to visit.
