Istanbul to Goreme; what airlines?
 

We want to fly in late afternoon from Istanbul to Goerme (which city is closest with airport)? and what airlines? It seems our Canadian travel agent only can locate Turkist air for $79, but we thought there must be something less expensive on a domestic flight?? Thanks for help.

Assuming you mean Goreme in Cappadocia. The local airline Onur Air was about 1/2 the price of Turkish Airlines both of which fly in and out of Kayseri which is about 40 miles from Goreme. I used a local travel agent in Urgup to arrange the fare (and car rental).

Yes, we wanted to find the cheapest airfare, there are four of us. I tried looking up Onur air, but didn't have much luck; ill check again. thanks for your reply.

Try Pegasos but they fly out of Sabiha Gokcen Airport in Istanbul. Also Turkish airlines had some really good deals but for travelling early in the year. When do you plan to go?? Here is the web address

I booked my flights directly online using Turkish airlines site. Their fares are listed much like Southwest Air with lower fares selling out faster -- so book as much in advance as possible. Very easy to do though. You cannot book yourself on Onur Air. You need an agent. I did not find any lower fares when asking an agent for help.
