Istanbul : Time needed from International Arrival to Domestic Departure
Dear All,
Flying Singapore Air from Jakarta scheduled to arrive in Attaturk airport at 07.25, we plan to catch a 09.50 Turkish Air flight to Nevsehir .
Is 2 hour 25 mins enough for us to pass the immigration, collect baggage, move to domestic terminal to check in etc?
Looking forward to having info on this, as we may switch to Kayseri instead for a more flexible time span.
Thank you for your expertise.

nayarna,
Other posters will undoubtedly be more knowledgeable on this subject, but I'd say 2 hours and 25 minutes is more than enough. We didn't connect directly (we stayed in Istanbul the first night and flew to Nevsehir the next morning), but Ataturk is very manageable.
From the time we got off the plane, bought our visa, went through passport control, and collected our luggage it wasn't much more than 30 minutes; 45 tops. The domestic terminal is well laid out and not large, either. I don't think you'll have any problem at all (and you may even have time for an apple tea!.

I agree it is--provided your first flight is not delayed. I would probably take the chance, but I would make sure there is a later flight I can get on if I need to. By the way, I much preferred flying through Nevesheir versus Kayseri--it is closer, provided you are headed to Urgup or Goreme as I am assuming.

If you have no delay and the ques are short and your luggage arrives on time yes you can do it. Having said that you do not have really 2,5 hours, as on domestic flights you have to be at airport and check in about an hour earlier !!!!
Please consider all and than decide.
Happy travelling,
