Istanbul Luxury Hotel

Ciragan v. Four Seasons: which of the two do you prefer and why?

Ciragan has the best placement because of being at Bosphorus and it is a wonderful hotel with its restaurants,cafes,pool..etc.It has a wonderful jazz bar-Q jazz bar-
Four Season is near the OldCity and has a very good reputation with its management.(It has one of the best brunch in the city)
Try also a search about Swissotel.Itis my favourite.

Second for the Cirigan - rooms have been refurbished, they're large, get one facing the Bosphorus, across from a lovely park. Might be out of the way of other sites in older part where you'll find Topkapi, Blue Mosque, Bazaar, etc, but next door to the Dolmabache Palace (a must visit).

Everyone comes to have cocktails outdoors with great views of Bosphorus and their pool.

But it's easy enough to walk around town or taxi to the other side of the Galata Bridge.

I cast a vote for the Four Seasons. Great location in the old city, very close to the sights. Lovely hotel. I like being able to stop back at the hotel without having to catch cabs, etc.

Have not stayed at Four Seasons, but location is convenient to all sites in Old Ciy. Did go inside for a drink and it looked nice enough. Have stayed at the Kempinski Ciragan Palace. It was great! I'm not sure you can make a bad choice here. However, there is a certain allure to the Ciragan Palace and its placement on the Bosphorous Sea&the location for getting into Old Town to the 'sites' in certainly an easy taxi ride, or you can also take the water taxi across the Bosphorous to Old Town too.
