Istanbul budget hotels
 

Orient Express, Turkoman or Sapphire Hotel in October.....any comments or suggestions for other hotels would be appreciated. We're experienced travellers but not backpackers.... Thanks!

We are going to be staying at the Terrace Guesthouse in September - gets good reviews, has amazing views from their very-high terrace, and a good price at 70 Euros a night including breakfast.

Out of these three hotels I would recommend you Orient Express Hotel. But I wouldn't say that it's a budget hotel. There are also very good hotels with lower rates than this hotel. Also, don't forget that you are going there when it's high season. I can recommend you such good cheaper hotels as:

Maybe the Hotel Alp Guesthouse - http://www.alpguesthouse.com. Small hotel in Ottoman style. Beautiful terrace with Bosphorous views. Well located in quiet street.

I have a reservation at the Ferman Hotel for 4 nights in Oct. Can't remember where I found it, but it looks nice and is reasonable. Anyone stay there?

You can try Great London Hotel,it is situated in Taksim, in the heart of the city, and also has historical and characteristic features.We stayed there for three nights and really enjoyed it.Also the hotel has been used for many films
