Istanbul -Bosphorus cruise in December?

Will be in Istanbul for 5 days in December. Will it be worth to take a cruise?

Thanks

Our Bosphorus cruise was one of the highlights of our trip to Turkey. Ours lasted all day, ending at the mouth of the Black Sea, but there are shorter ones so you could get a taste of this beautiful body of water. Take a look at my trip report (Two Continents, Four Seas...etc). I talk about the cruise toward the end of the report and posted pictures; it might help you decide. We took it in early November and were lucky to have a beautiful, warm day.

By the way, we were also in Istanbul for five days and we didn't feel that spending the day on the cruise prevented us from seeing everything we wanted to see.

It's entirely dependent on the weather. If it's foggy, as often at this time of year, don't bother. If not, yes. No need to book early, decide when you are there.

I took a Bospherous cruise last December and it was glorious. Of course not on a foggy day, but most of our weather was very good. Enjoy your trip.

Did it in February, one year. Took a bus up to close to the mouth of Black Sea and took the ferry back down to Istanbul. Weather was fine.

Bosphorus is beautiful anytime any weather but spending more than 2 -3 hours for that is not practical to me.Get a private boat tour and enjoy what you see by listening to your guide. Most of tours take about 1 and a half hours...If you need a tour company , http://www.istanbulprivateguide.net/ ,
is a reasonable one ..

We took the Bosphorus cruise earlier this month. We waited for a sunny day but dressed in layers to stay warm. It was a nice rest from all the walking we had been doing but if you are short on time you could skip it.
