Istanbul apartment for three weeks

My friend and I want to rent an apartment in Instanbul for three weeks in October. We want to be in a great location with wakling access to many sites. We will also be taking trips outside Istanbul. I would love any suggestions you might have on apartment rentals etc. Thank you!

what price range?

one or two bedrooms or studio?

walking access to which types of sites? nature, culture, Byzantine, ottoman, art, architecture, night life, food, mosques, churches, synagogues?

ease of access to city road exits, ferries, bus depots or airports?

lively, quiet?

Sea view or not?

We are interested in a two bedroom apartment. I do not know what rents typically are......I imagine on the more deluxe end. We are in our 60`s and are well travelled. We thought near the Blue Mosque but need an expert´s suggestion.
