i just need to make a correction.. i realize i was calling the hotel in Cappadocia by the wrong name (well, its my dislexia showing through)... the name is Taskonak Hotel - pronounced Tashkonak. I wanted to make sure i told you correctly, because i really cant say enough, what a great time we had there. I believe they are working on updating the website - http://www.taskonak.net/index.html but i thought it worked just fine. really beautiful. i'm going to try my hand at writing a review on tripadvisor.. never done that before.

Thank you so much for your reports. I am heading to Turkey (by myself!!!!) in November and your blog really helped. I do so appreciate the time you took. Thank you! I am heading to Cappadoica, Pammekule, Ephesus and Istanbul. When you wrote how friendly everyone was, that relieved my mind. Thanks again.

j9dive - reading your comment makes me want to go back.. and to do it solo. honest, i would have no reservations about doing that. Yes, the people are friendly.. approach with a smile and a few Turkish words (even if you fumble them). i tried Tanıştığımıza memnun (pleased to meet you), and of course teşekkür ederim (thank you). fumbled a lot (i always tried to put a spanish twist on them..haha) but people appreciate the effort. Have a wonderful time!
