Isn't there one great Paris hotel for under $200?

Like the OP, we used to stay in Parisian hotels, some OK, some so-so, and one that was rotten beyond belief.
Then we started to think (and act) outside the box and rented a very comfortable -- no, super comfortable -- through VRBO. Stayed two weeks in the 15th, a block from a Metro station, a bakery across the street, plenty of nice restaurants, one bedroom, bath, kitchen, living room with all the amenities including a computer, and lovely furniture. A private garden terrace all our own.
We will never stay in a hotel in Paris ever again.
