island near Rhodes- Karpathos?
 

We have to be in Rhodes for an event and would like to add on a few days of hiking and beach (late September). We are looking for quiet beaches, villages, short hiking trails etc. Last year we were in Naxos and loved it.
Any feedback on Karpathos? I have been looking at the Poseidon Blue Hotel for 4 nights.

If you are looking for relaxing beaches in Rhodes, there are Anthony Quinn Bay, Ladiko, Genadi beach, Fourni. There are also great day tours from travel agencies that can guide you. I chose a day tour in Symi island this year with Discover D1. I booked the day tour through their website.
Now about Karpathos, I guess you can take a boat from Rhodes port.

Any thoughts or info on Karpathos? I have found ferry service there from Rhodes. Just wondering if there might be another destination we should consider instead, or if this is a good choice. I welcome any tips on Karpathos!

In Karpathos you must visit Apella beach, Amoopi beach, Diakoptis beach. There are also many hotels & airbnbs that you can choose.
