Ischia - when does the season end?

I have visited several Ischia hotel websites and no rates are indicated for the latter half of October. Is everything closed up by then? Thermal spas? Thanks you.

Dear XXX @XXX.com
I had same ?'s about Ischia since we'll be there Oct 18 & 19, in my research some hotels and termes do close around Oct 21. Also some resorts only book weekly. We ended up in Ischia Porto at the Hotel Reginia Terme booked thru #1hotels.com. May I ask why you do not choose to identfy yourself, I often wonder why some posters don't, because I've rec'd so many helpful e-mail concerning travel posts that I've made over the years? Have a great trip.

I honestly know of only one hotel on the whole island that stays open till December. Most of them go from April through late October; a few go from March to November. Pretty much everything is closed some time in October, the exact date being somewhat variable year to year. That would include the thermal spas.

Personally, I like Ischia much more than Capri. If I could visit only one island, it would be Ischia. However, you need to stay within their season. From my perspective, the very best month to go and avoid most crowds is May.

I too am planning to visit Ischia in late October. Being that lots of people live there, I'm assuming the ferries and buses still run frequently? Can anyone recommend the best thermal spa on the island?
