Isabel. Thanks for the great info. Did you find many of the stores, restaurants etc. closed when you were in Lisbon on a Sunday? Also how does one get a ticket for the hotel shuttle at the airport? Does the shuttle go to any hotel or just specific ones? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

lily - I remember that "regular" stores - like clothing, etc were closed on Sunday, but anything that catered to tourists, like ceramics shops, were open. That was in downtown, I didn't go to a mall on a Sunday, they might be open.

I think the hotel shuttle has a deceptive name, since it doesn't really go from hotel to hotel. It just made a bunch of stops in central areas. I think probably at least a dozen stops. It was right outside the arrivals hall of the airport and we bought our ticket from the driver. It also says Bus 91 on it. It was very easy, took about 20 minutes from the airport to the Rossio area.

Hi Isabel,

I'm topping your trip report hoping you will see this question. I was just looking at your photos and saw one taken in Evora of a very interesting building. I've consulted 3 guide books and can't find a reference to this chapel. Can you let me know if this chapel is in Evora or in the surrounding area.

Obrigada!

Hi Adrienne, Yes it is in Evora. It's St. Brás Chapel. I think it was closed so we only saw it from the outside. If I remember correctly it was outside the town walls a little. We were staying at the Ibis and I am pretty sure it was on that road, just a short walk from there. I would say it's probably about a 10-15 min walk from the main square.
