Is Wengen open the first week of June?
Will all of the restaurants and cog rails and cable cars in Wengen be open the first week of June? I was thinking about staying at Hotel Schonegg but they don't open until June 5th. Is 3 nights enough to see the BO or shoud I extend to 4 nights. Suggestions on lodging and restaurants in this area would be appreciated.

All trains, boats, cablecars, gondolas and buses in the Interlaken - Wengen - Grindelwald area will run; the cablecar Muerren - Allmendhubel will not run.
It may be rather difficult to visit the whole Bernese Oberland - a area which goes from Glacier 3000 and Glacier de la Plaine Morte up to Titlis and Sidelhorn - just from Wengen, independently of the number of days you will srtay there.

What?
Are you daft?
Of course Wengen is open. It is a town, people live there.
Do you think Wengen is some sort of fake Disney Land?
You were given the names of other hotels besides the Schönegg in Wengen on another thread.
Did you even bother to see if any of them are open?
What I can't understand is why you would take a journey to a tiny town below the Jungfrau and not do any research as to weather conditions in June.
Winter skiing, Summer hiking. You are travelling during the shoulder season so, of course, not everything will be open for business.
Wise up.

Thanks for your unpleasanrt response. I have done hundreds of hours of research and it was my impression that June was the start of summer season not shoulder season. I apologize for my ignorance as I have not traveled to Switzerland before. Have a great day Thin.

Oh, come on.
Stop telling stories.
You have not done hundreds of hours of research on Wengen.
Any idiot could click on Hotel Schönegg's website to see when it is open. It takes a few seconds.
You were given the names of hotels in Wengen on another thread but, again, you ask for the names of hotels HERE.
You start new threads asking the same questions over and over.
We have seen this all before.
Thin, not stupid
