Is this realistically doable France and England

I understand that Bayeux to Caen is about 25 miles (you need to include the drive to the port), all I am suggesting to teach905, is that they look at LD Lines from Le Havre, because they tend to be cheaper than Brittiany Ferries.
It is about 80 miles from Bayeux to Caen - so an extra 50 miles or so ... on the good French motorways this will take them about 30-45 minutes driving ... so in reality this isn't much further & the cost savings could be a bit ...
