Is there such a thing?
I am planning our trip to Pari sand Normandy, and trying to plot out where things are (stores that I hear about, etc.) so that we can make best use of our time.
Is there a resource online where you can locate a specific place in Paris, and the mark it on the map, that you can save and add to? Not sure if that is clear enough, but I have been looking at google maps, and it seems like there should be a way, but I can't seem to figure it out! HELP! |
The French Yellow Pages: http://tinyurl.com/2jt48p where you can get the address and see a photo of the building and get a map. But I can't find the English version, if it still exists.

google maps has this feature.
Look for a tab called 'my maps'. Whenever I search for an address on google maps I get a box with the choices: Get Directions To Here, From Here, Search nearby, and Save to My Maps |
Google maps is so fun -- especially the satellite view option. What did we ever do without this?

The one I like the best is www.communitywalk.com
You set 'flags' on the map, and can color-code by catergories. Here is a sample: This person made one coded by 'Day 1', etc. http://www.communitywalk.com/my_pari...2007/map/54517 This person made one by types of places. http://www.communitywalk.com/hotel_s...dings/map/7487 |
Oooo, fun! :)

Travelnut,
Since communitywalk uses google's my map features what's the benefit of using community walk? Is it the ability to share maps? I think that may be a problem just using google. |
Thanks everyone! I think community walk is exactly what I was looking for--- it appears to be way more intuitive to me than google maps! I am going to try to make one for boulangeries and pastisseries to visit-- I promise to share when I am done!

Community walk looks awesome. I will be definitely be working on getting my own personal map of Paris together. Thanks!
