Is there anywhere to store luggage in Volterra for a day-trip?

We are planning to visit Volterra for a day, and will have a number of bags in the car (we are leaving Florence area that morning and will be sleeping in Levanto).

Is there any hotel or other facility that will keep our bags while we tour the town during the day, as we obviously do not want to leave our luggage in the car?

Thanks for any responses.

There is a large parking lot under the town, if you can hide your luggage from sight you should be ok. I have no idea where you could store luggage, maybe someone else will.

Will you have a car with a trunk, or will the luggage be visible?

You could email the Tourist Office: [email protected].

The town's website has a good map: www.volterratur.it. There's a parking lot at Piazza Martiri della Liberta, location of the bus terminal and public toilets. I would think there would always be people around which would hopefully deter any thieves.
