Is the site slow

Is it my computer or is the sight getting slower and slower recently.

m_kingdom2 May 17th, 2004 11:09 AM

My dear, I've noticed it getting slower too.

Amen!...Helen

Definitely slower--like just now. I've tried deleting cookies and starting all over again, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. The site must be having problems of some sort.

Yes, if you don't have high speed digital (I don't), it may be phone lines. My other sites are also slow today. It's evil Monday. ((@))

I have "high speed cable connection & its' still terrible.Oh well.

I'm on a high speed lan connection at work. For what it's worth Frommers and Rick Steves load quickly, Fodor's seems to take forever right now.

I think the problem must be at the Fodors end. I notice that the site is nice and fast if I check it in the early AM (Eastern time) after I drop the kids at school, but much slower at lunch time or later, when there are lots of other users. On top of that, there's probably a seasonal effect, with higher traffic now when people are planning summer trips.

I have high speed connection both at work and at home and Fodors has been slow all day even early this morning.

Yes, I agree that it is slow especially today....the threads just don't seem to materialize, and I have to refresh. I have a cable modem and all my other sites are fast. This seems to happen alot on this site, yes? :-( Judy

It's not only slow but doing weird things too-like when you refresh the page it's blank or you can't reply to a (good) post.

Trying to get to "the next 50 messages" is quite a fete. It usually requires a great deal of patience and continued clicking.

Trying to post a reply is also something of a challange.
