Actually, the Octoberfest is in September in Munich. There is a large park that is set up with beer halls and amusement rides etc. Don't know why it's called Octoberfest, but that's not the month of the festival. Great fun, however.

<BR>The Octoberfest takes place the last two weeks in September and is held in Munich. It originally started as a Wedding celebration for the Prince of Bavaria and the Princess of Prussia and was held in October. They had so much fun that they started celebrating every anniversary. It originally included horse races which were later dropped. It was moved to September for the better weather. The last day is always on the first Sunday of October.
