I wonder if Dame Edna is aware of a strain of Gladiola called Mademoiselle-de-Paris? Just to bring the discussion back to the City of Lights...

I have never understood why Dame Edna selected the gladioli. It is not even Australian. Now if she had selected kangaroo paws ( the flowers) I would understand.

We recently visited Paris on an unplanned trip for 6 nights starting July 28 and booked Hotel Cluny Square in the Latin quarter at a great rate.

This is our second visit to Paris so we filled in the blanks on the places we missed on our prior visit.

We saw police armed walking the streets. Thank you for the protection.

We walked all over town during the day.
We took a walking tour.
Finally went to the Louve!
Finally went to the Moulan Rouge show!
Made sure i ate an eclair plus all the other wonderful pastries.
I walked through neighborhoods, such as the Murais, at night by myself to see more of Paris.
A young lady was so helpful in interpreting and taking care of us when the train to the airport had a delay; we made it on time to the airport for her help as well as we started early.

We had a great time in Paris.
