Is Paris more crowded during Fashion Week/

Found out that Fashion week is going on while we are in Paris. Does this make the cit more crowded? Are there areas of gridlock to be avoided during this time? Will I run into Tom Brady and Giselle? (:

Well, yes, it does make the city more crowded; all those people taking up the hotel rooms are there.

They do take up hotel rooms, but not so much in the modest hotels I usually book. And I don't think fashion week people make the museums more crowded. They are there more for business.
I was there once during what I learned later was fashion week, and I did not notice any difference, except that I stopped to watch a photographer, model, helpers, etc. on a shoot at the foot of Pont Saint-Michel, but that is likely to go on at any time.

Cetain restaurants become harder to book and the Tuileries gardens turn into eye candy central. The ER probably sees more than its fair share of minor injuries, as women fall off of 6" heels and len walk into posts while craning their necks to gawk at all the fashion midels, but beyond that, its business as usual...

Yes, but you won't notice it unless you spend a lot of time in Paris at other times of year in the neighborhoods where the fashionistas hang out. As for gridlock, happens in Paris for lots of reasons at all times of year. Last Sunday, the 6ème was practically impassable. Don't worry about it - you're getting too granular.
