Is L'Orangerie open?

Does anyone know if Musee L'Orangerie (sp?) has reopened? I cannot find any info online and do not want to plan a trip to Paris until I'm certain that I can revisit this wonderful museum. I was in Paris in October and was disappointed that the museum was still closed.

thanks!!

good grief, it's been closed at least since 1999. i've been to paris three times since then and haven't seen it yet.

According to an update to Rick Steves' Paris 2003 guidebook posted on his Europe Through the Back Door Web site (www.ricksteves.com), L'Orangerie is still closed for renovations and will be until 2004. But maybe someone else has more current information.

I was in Paris in November and it was still closed (third time in three years I have gone for a long walk to get there thinking it has to have re-opened by now, only to find out it is still closed), I think the sign now says Spring 2004. If you are looking for the water lilies, they are in the basement of the Marmottan.

Thank you, Tim & Amy, for the info. It's a good thing that there are so many other museums that I enjoy in Paris so that I don't have to wait until next Spring to visit. I imagine that the lines to get into L'Orangerie next year will be long!!
