Is late September a good time to visit Turkey

Istanbul, Cappodocia, Antalya, MArmaris, Pammukale, bodrum, Cannakale, gallipoli, not sure of the details yet, but any thoughts on the timing.

Exactly when I went in 1998 and it's the perfect time! We had 1 day of drizzle in 2 weeks, otherwise sunny and warm. The sea near Antalya was still warm for swimming.

Should be warm with cool nights. Sea perfect for swimming. BUT if autumn sets in early you could get heavy rainstorms and cold winds.

I spent from Sept. 16 to 28 in Turkey. Raining the day we got there, and some drizzle enroute to Ephesus but for the most part summery weather. Short sleeves and lightweight trousers or shorts were how most were dressed. I'd say it was an ideal time, weatherwise.

We were there in late September 3 years ago....absolutely magnificent. The water in the south was warm and the local people friendly and the bonus of reduced numbers of tourists so all the sights were easier to access and restaurants all had spare tables.

We were in Turkey for three weeks Sept. 20 to Oct. 11 and thought the weather was perfect. I think we only had two, maybe three, days of rain. I definitely wouldn't want to be there in August when it is so hot and humid.
