Is Korcula worthwhile to visit?

Hi,

On our trip to Croatia we plan to see Mljet, Hvar and maybe Vis. But we are not sure about Korcula. Can anybody make a recommendation about Korcula? Is it interesting to see?

We loved Korcula but we were on a small ship. Have you seen my photo gallery of Croatia--just search under my name.

ahmetakin - I visited for a day and thought it very charming, a bit rough around the edges. The layout of the town and it's postion facing the mainland are delightful. That was five ago - so I'm guessing things have been spruced up a bit. Other posters have stayed a few days and really enjoyed it. This year I'm visiting other Croatian islands - I'm hoping someday to get back and explore the entire island of Korcula. One of my co-workers is from Korcula and is in the porcess of buildling a beautiful house on Korcula.

janeg - click on bobthenav's name, that will bring up all his post or do a country search highlighting Croatia
