Is Italy beating France this year?

Last year several posts discussed that more Fodorites seemed to be going to France for summer trips. Is it my imagination or are more of us planning trips to Italy this year?

By the way, I am definitely NOT an escorted tour type of person, but I'd join any trip Tennessee SharonG goes on next. Yes, even if I have to deal with Trip Nazi Amy!

I may be -- as a matter of fact, I probably am -- prejudiced, but it has seemed to me from the first time that I discovered this board that the highest number of posts was related to Italy.

Absolutely Italy!
Both this year and last...We did it on our own and had the trip of a lifetime!

We seem to be out of step-went to Italy last year and are going to France this year -though I find myself still reading up on Italy and what we missed!

FWIW, we're going to France.

In your dreams!

Will top this so perhaps Rex or someone else who actually seems to keep track of things like this will respond.

Don't fotrget that "planning" is one thing and that "actually going" is something else again. Lots of people's airplanes never seem to get off the keyboard for one reason or another.

would this give you a good reason to come to Dijon for example? :-)
there is not only mustard and cassis ;-)

In World Cup Soccer - for sure! :)

Keep track? based on posts here? Not me!

Anyhow, it's 1.1 jillion to 1.05 jillion, and it flip flops every so often.

Best wishes,

Rex

We went to France last year and are going to Italy this year so I guess we're following the crowds!

Hi,

The frommers board posts the number of messages for each country.

Italy has had more than France for a couple of years.

For vacation, my wife's going to France twice this year; we're both going to Puglia/Basilicata in the fall.

As far as I'm concerned, it's a tie.
