Is Faviken worth it

Going to be in Sweden for about 4 nights maybe 5. Is it worth it to go to Jarpen to dine at Faviken. The reservation won't be a problem, but it is really far from Stockholm so we will probably have to stay the night. Do they have any good hotels? Budget is limitless

I imagine it would be worth it if you had the time. With only 4/5 nights it is a heck of a journey to a restaurant, so only you can judge whether it would be worth it. Ask the restaurant about accommodation, either in their premises or if they can recommend something local.
A restaurant on my list is Daniel Berlin, it's easer to get to and might be an option when travelling between Copenhagen and Stockholm or sidetrip from CPH or Malmö. Skåne was named as one of the top 52 places to visit by the NY Times 2016, if you are into lists.

Thanks! Don't think either trips will be worth it this time around so hopefully we can go next time! If you have any lunch recommendations for Stockholm that would be welcome and appreciated!

What a pity you won't be going to Fäviken! My father-in-law celebrated his birthday there this past winter with his sambo (live-in female partner) and friends and all they could do was rave about the experience and food. They booked the food, wine package and rooms probably a year in advance.

There are only a few rooms that can be booked at Fäviken so they stayed there overnight even though our family cabin is an hour away. (no drinking and driving.) If you decide to dine there in the future you can fly from Stockholm to Östersund/Åre. There are a few luxury hotels in Åre (the world class ski resort town).
