Is Electric shaver allowed on plane?

I'm about to take my first long-haul flight post Sep 11. I know you can't take razor blade past security now, but does anyone have experience of taking a battery-operated shaver in the cabin luggage? On a 12-hour flight I always used to have a shave shortly before arrival to freshen myself and set myself up for a new day. Has anyone had their shaver confiscated? What are the alternatives - a plastic razor??

I have had them look my (non-electric) razor over 3 of the 8 flights I have taken since 9/11. But never taken away from me.

And I do not use plastic razors.

Best wishes,

Rex
In Munich on Sept 21 and in Philadelphia and Charlotte, my electric razor passed just fine. But there is so much inconsistency and arbitrary application of presumed standards, that no one can make an accurate prediction.
If they take tweesers, nail clippers, and emery boards from people, who knows.
