Is early Nov. good for Spain travel?

We are thinking of doing a ttrip to Spain, Portugal, Morocco & have a choice of mid Oct., early Nov. or mid Nov. I am trying to find links that talk about weather but now that I need it cannot find anything. We don't like it too hot or too cold & we definitely don't like crowds, although we want some activity! Any suggestions on which of the three periods would be good?

We are going to be in Costa Brava/Barcelona area end of October and first of November. Wish I could remember the name of the website I found recently that gave weather history. It showed that last year the first 10 days in November were between 63 - 72 degrees, the nighttime temps got between 34 and 50 and there were no rain days for the first ten days of November. Hope that helps. I'm expecting temperatures to be great but who knows about rainfall.

I really don't trust anymore temperatures or raining statistics from past years, living here in Spain. In the final days of November in 2005 , we were freezing here , temperatures below zero in the night and about 5-6 º C (sorry, I get confused with Fahrenheit degrees ! ) , in 2006 I was in short sleeves and it was as hot as in summer, last year in 2007 it was normal winter weather here, maybe a bit colder ...
So nowadays..there's no way to be sure. What it is sure is you won't find crowds :)
Not much diffence between your three dates, perhaps colder in November..but who knows ?

The website with the weather history is weatherunderground.com

We were in Spain--Costa del Sol and La Manga--Murcia--Cartagena--Alicante-- from Nov. 7-26 a few years ago and hit some very nasty weather, very rainy and windy, especially in Alicante. People told us it was unusual, but it did put a damper on the trip (pun intended), even for us Seattlites. However, we did have some nice weather in Costa del Sol and Alhambra wasn't a crowded as the times we'd be there before (but it was chilly.)

It it were me, I'd probably pick the mid-October time.

Thanks everybody! We do a lot of domestic (U.S.) travel, but other than a Barbados honeymoon almost 20 yrs ago, this is our first abroad other than Canada & Mexico. Would hate to have picked a bad time, but as you point out, you can't always count on it from year to year...

I think Oct will be better because you will get more daylight, and probably better weather than in November.
For sure no crowds but not as quiet as Nov.
