Is Dundalk Worth the Trip?

We are staying in Dublin and want to visit O'hare's Pub in Dundalk, Ireland - O'hare is the family name.

We will not have a car and looking for alternate transportation. Train? Bus?

Also, wondering if Dundalk is worth the trip at all?

You might do better to post this under Ireland instead of under UK.

Dundalk is mainly an industrial town with major operations by Heinz,GE and Xerox for example. It has a long history but not much of it is left. President Clinton gave a speech to a large audience there. You can read more about it on www.dundalk.ie.It would not be a major tourist town but it has a good variety of shops.About 30 miles away you can visit Newgrange-highly recommended and 5000 years old- see www.knowth.com
