Is Cigalechanta back yet?

Just wondering if Mimi is back or will be soon. Looking forward to hearing from you, Mimi.

Scarlett Sep 10th, 2004 03:31 PM

I think this weekend we will see our dear Cigale back again~

Statia Sep 10th, 2004 03:34 PM

Looking forward to hearing from our dear Mimi, and her wonderful trip. :)

kybourbon Sep 10th, 2004 04:18 PM

I was in Cambridge last weekend and didn't try to get in touch with her because I assumed she would still be in France.

indytravel Sep 10th, 2004 04:26 PM

No transfer to Purdue kybourbon? Oh well, the kids have to go somewhere. :-)

Hey Mimi! I have a couple of e-mail things to send when you get back.

Marianna Sep 10th, 2004 05:47 PM

Thank you, Scarlett. I figured you might have some idea of when she would be back from her trip.

Scarlett Sep 10th, 2004 06:14 PM

Sadly, time has ceased to have any meaning for us, we are between Hurricanes :) But I am almost sure she was supposed to be back this week.

I miss her and look forward to her postings too :)

I look forward to Mimi's trip reports when she returns.

I am currently planning my trip to Rome for Christmas. I have a home exchange house near the Baths of Caracalla; I have my airfare. Now I have to plan what we are going to see.

kybourbon Sep 10th, 2004 06:29 PM

David - Maybe grad school will be Purdue but there is currently a boyfriend at MIT so she just tunes me out when I mention transfers(which I do every time she complains about the cold). Hail Purdue!

indytravel Sep 10th, 2004 06:41 PM

Too funny with the boy friend Lara.

If only kids could realize that if it's really, truly *LOVE* it'll last they'd be a lot better off.

Youth. Dang. It's wasted on the young. :-)

Hey we should start pushing for a GTG in Boston. If we start planning now we could make it happen the first of next year.

Rhkkmk, seafox, auntgrapes, anonymous, MIMI!, nikki, shogan and everyone else what do you thingk?

Nikki Sep 11th, 2004 01:47 AM

Boston GTG sounds good to me. You're willing to travel all the way here again, Dave?

kybourbon Sep 11th, 2004 05:41 AM

There was a Boston GTG Sunday night while I was there but I didn't get to go. I am hoping to be in Spain (would rather be in Italy)the first of the year - warmer than Boston!

I didn't have any luck with priceline this trip and haven't seen the Marlowe popping up very often on biddingfortravel. I usually try to bid for the Cambridge Hyatt around $60 as it's within sight of my daughter's dorm but I think I will try Back Bay/Copley next trip. Newberry Street has more restaurants/shops etc. than the area around the Marlowe or the Hyatt.

How about a May GTG?

Scarlett - Do they think Ivan is going to miss Florida now?

OReilly Sep 11th, 2004 05:42 AM

Mimi was due back on the 9th.

Welcome back Mimi. I hope you had a wonderful time. Looking forward to your trip report. :)

Hugs ...Ger

Marianna Sep 11th, 2004 01:41 PM

Mimi, hope you had a fabulous trip! Post a hello to us when you have a chance. If you are still unpacking (just a carry-on, right?), I can hardly wait to hear about your trip and what you brought back with you!

Scarlett Sep 11th, 2004 03:25 PM

She's baaack~ :D

indytravel Sep 11th, 2004 06:35 PM

Hi Nikki. I could do a Boston "fix" weekend next year some time.

I've only spent 3 days total in Boston. There's lots more I could see and do around a GTG.

cigalechanta Sep 11th, 2004 06:49 PM

Hello Marianna, and thank you.
The only things I bougth were a few of the santons of the farandole Arles' dancers, essence of lavender, a dressy wild skirt, a bottle of suze and some fragrance from a favorite shop in lourmarin, "Coté Bastide." And three confitures and a three bottle carry-on from our favorite olive mill.
I saw many things I love that were either too expensive or bulky to carry on.

seafox Sep 18th, 2004 05:24 AM

A Boston GTG sounds like agrand idea....my move to Hartford is scheduled for 3 weeks frm now (finally). Count me in....

rhkkmk Sep 22nd, 2004 07:43 PM

i also have interest in another GTG in boston....gpanda and i tried to invite people a couple of weeks ago to an asian boston GTG but only the 4 of us showed up...sunday on a holiday weekend was not a good idea....very low key...not like the planning seafox offered the last time...

kybourbon Sep 22nd, 2004 08:13 PM

I was in Boston that weekend and intended to come to your GTG but my allergies decided to kick into high gear. I will be back in Boston in May and possibly one or two other times between now and then. If you guys decide on a date let me know.
