hi goddesstogo,

thanks for jumping in and helping me to divert the OP's thread. I do have a planning thread BTW but it was just easier to carry on here than ask the questions but ask you to post the answers there. Also a certain person is there and not here [yet] and I'd like to avoid her if possible.

At the moment I am not booking anything as the language school offers various outings and excursions to its students on certain days of the week and I want to be able to take advantage of what they propose. Also, ref the cooking class, I am told that the lady with whom I will be staying is a very keen cook but I should like the details of the cooking class, thanks.

Ravenna is definitely on my radar but I hadn't read anything about the music museum, so thanks for that. If the school doesn't take us there I'm sure that I can find it by myself. and from its website [thanks for the link] I learnt that there is now a Museum card for Bologna that is valid for a whole 12 months, costing only €25 - surely something that the OP will be interested in:
