Is a Malpensa Express train ticket refundable?

My sister purchased a roundtrip Malpensa Express train ticket online by accident, thinking it was a ticket for the Malpensa Shuttle bus. After she realized she had made a mistake, she purchased the correct shuttle bus ticket. The Trenord website says that unstamped train tickets are refundable at ticket booths. http://www.trenord.it/en/services/re...pensation.aspx

Has anyone done this? Does anyone know if a refund is actually possible for a ticket purchased online? Thank you.

I am not sure why you think a ticket purchased on line would not be refundable.

I only have Malpensa Shuttle experience, and they do not permit refunds.

No refunds. You specifically have to select that ticket (a/r) so don't know how she could have bought it by mistake. Why did she want to take the bus instead of the train?

***The ticket is not refundable and the itinerary cannot be changed.***

She might be able to sell the ticket into Milan when you land (there is a four hour window to use it from the time she selected), but I doubt you will find a buyer for the return ticket.

Thank you, kybourbon. You don't see those notes until you set a date and time.

She bought the ticket not realizing a bus shuttle existed. She knew I had my ticket but assumed it was a Malpensa Express ticket. I may have said Malpensa Express by accident. I can't be sure. She tried to reach me but I was not available.
