IS 90 EURO PER NIGHT ENOUGH
To budget for Hotels in Europe?
|
Oops sorry again, I forgot to say in what cities? towns between Amsterdam and Prague. Prague, Vienna, towns between Vienna and Paris, Paris, Strasbourg?
|
For one person or two ? What time of year ? Including the big cities themselves, or just small towns between them ?
|
Sept 12 to Sept 28 for my wife and me
in small towns and the cities? |
Yes. You will easily find nice places to stay for 90 euro or less if you aren't in the center of the popular cities. And you can find OK places even in some of those cities. As long as you aren't expecting fitness centers, meeting rooms, valet parking, swimming pools, room service, and such in your lodgings.
|
May be even for large cities, if you search for hotel chains like Ibis - I stay in the center of Paris for 75 € the room, last August.
|
Agree, the Ibis chain is a good budget choice for the cities, and some are quite central.
You need to research well & book ahead, though. When playing it by ear for budget hotels I've stayed in some not very nice ones. Check each one you consider on www.tripadvisor.com & www.venere.com for previous visitors comments. (Venere.com can be quite a good resource for booking hotels too.) |
Hi V,
As in the US, there are budget motels near highways. 90E/nite is more than sufficient. You might want to do a google search. ((I)) |
A friend of mine has had a lot of luck with a chain called Etap.
They have quite an extensive list of hotels on their web pages, but I don't know if they are where you intend to stay. I trust his judgement for budget accomodations. |
Enough for what? If you are looking for the most basic places - in the countryside or small town - or outside the center of large cities. - yes.
If you want a pleasant 3* hotel in the center of Paris or Vienna - you'll need to up your budget quite a bit. |
yes you can find basic accommodations for that amount. just depends what kind of thing you are hoping to find.
