Is $687 a good price for airfare to Paris from Chicago in October?

All major airlines to Europe from the US have periodic "sales". They are just seasonal fares, and predictable, so you know they are going to start advertising "sales" for winter rates in the Summer-Fall, for example. Once in a while, if you are really lucky, there may be a real sale that is lower than normal for that season. But most sales aren't that special.

Very interesting, this flycheapabroad.com - - does anyone know if the flights they sell include FF miles?
There was a separate about this website recently - - http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...2&tid=34813671 - - asks more questions than it answers.
Best wishes,
Rex

This flycheapabroad looks slightly cheaper on some routes, not nearly as good as Travelocity on others. For example, $1006 for SDF-NAP in late Sep/early Oct versus $759 on Travelocity for the same dates (but it's a crappy connection on the return, with 6 hrs layover in PHL).
There is no one magic bullet best airfare website.

I've started looking for flights in November. I want a non-stop from SFO to CDG. I checked at Expedia etc. mostly to get a list of airlines and see who flys non-stop. I've been coming up with 8-900.00 fares. I'm going with a friend and she's not coming back the same date I am so I've held off booking, but also want to see if anything cheaper comes up. It's just a "thing" with me, but I do not want to book through a third party, but will book directly with what ever airline I choose and because I'm "so fussy" it looks like Air France or Delta will be it. From what I have found so far, I don't thing 677.00 is too bad if it included all taxes etc.

I do not fly out of Chicago but I am flying SFO/LHR in two days and have been watching airfares to Europe for a long time and if $677 includes all taxes it is IMHO a pretty decent fare. While you might find a slightly better deal if you wait and watch I doubt you will save significant money and you might not get the seats / routing you want. October is after all not yet low season for Europe.
