Check out www.weather.com.
We were in Ireland in May two different times. One time sunny and in the 70's, the other time rainy, and in the 60's No one can predict the weather, but weather.com can give you some averages. Whatever, bring clothes for all kinds of weather in Ireland. Enjoy the Guinness. ((b)) |
Last 2 years in April (beginning to mid) we had a day or 2 at most of rain and the rest was sun, clouds and wind. Not too cold (and I'm from Sunny San Diego) but it's good to dress in layers with one layer being wind & water proof.
Having said that I also bought wellies in Irleand for a hike through a cow field. Not sure if you plan on doing that but most of the grassy areas are quite damp and even boggy (Ireland's topography is kinda like a tea saucer so it's no wonder...) out off the beaten tracks. Wendy [email protected] |
I went to Ireland in mid-May a few years ago. The high temps were in the low 50s with one day reaching 65. Though with the dampness and wind it seemed chillier. It rained a little every day, and we had 1"-size hailstones one day.

Laat April was unseasonably warm in Ireland and May was a bit cooler and rainier tha usual. You should not be surprised to get at least a little rain every day. Generally expect mid to upper 50's with the 60's being a lucky break.
Here are two more websites that provide some information: http://www.ireland.com/weather/climate/ and: http://www.irishman.org/ The second one has the added feautire of being able to check the sunrise and sunset times. You need to click on the data center tab for that. The first one has more complete data as for average rainfall and the like. Bill |
