Hi Iris!

I've been trying to reach chateau ribourdin....per your recommendation and their e-mail address (posted on their web site) is no longer valid. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Lee

Hi again; Info if you get thru. We stayed in the 'Gaillard room'. When you enter it's on the first floor, right. The breakfast room is just across the entrance area from this room. Large room, not terribly light, but we thought it was great. Best and good luck

Great minds think alike my friend....that is the room we are requesting Iris. BTW: only 2 hours to the CDG airport from this chateau....is this correct (on a Tuesday)? We will be leaving the next day to catch a 1:30 pm Delta flight back to the states :(

Hi ; For me, I am very cautious. Especially in todays world of additional security. I would back off at least six hours. During week days, trafic will be heavy at the time you are returning to CDG. You want to be at the Delta counter three hours before your flight. The web site says 1 1/2 hours from Paris. CDG is north of Paris. This is just how I operate. Others can chime in and suggest different ideas. So, I would leave by 7:30am. Your host is very nice. Ask if he can have something for you at 6:30. So, I think you can plan on six hours, but confirm with your host, Claude. P.S. I hope you can stay two days in this area. Much to see.

Whoa...should I stay closer to CDG? If so...where?

Sorry I scareds you. You could consider staying in Sens, perhaps an hour and a half from CDG. With traffic, you would then be talking five hours before your flight. We have stayed many times a few hours away from an airport. But I always end my trip on a Sunday, that means less traffic. Easier approach to the airport. If you feel uncomfortable, don't hesitate to stay the last night at or near the airport. Many here can give suggestions for places to stay near the airport. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/sens
