We have had 16 days without rain until yesterday when it was a little soft but not enough to get you wet..This morning I can just about see the fence line 50 yards away so don't ask daft questions about April until April.

Interesting seeing this thread today as we are locked in bitter cold and in places other the south west, much snow and ice, and almost to a white Easter with April soon here. The bitter east wind is ensuring our warm, hand knitted hats sell well at market..an ill wind that blows no one any good. Seems to have gone on for ever and I saw a garden sprinkler on at a church yesterday as all is very very dry.

We have visited Ireland many times and on several occasions heard the expression, "It's a soft day". We often refer to this when it rains here in Connecticut and that brings back lovely memories. We will be there again at the end of April and will love it, whatever the weather is.
