Ireland Waterfall
 

Having grown up in the Little House on the Prairie, I am fascinated by waterfalls.

Now on the Beara Peninsula I find the Mare's Tail Waterfall coming down Hungry Hill from Coomadayallig Lake and Coomarkane Lake. Just a bit west of Adrigole.

Does anyone know if it is accessible by car? Or must we view it from afar, if at all?

Tony, I have been to Gleninchaquin but the reviews on Trip Advisor make me a bit leery of returning. There is a way to view the waterfall from a distance which we may try. Our day in Beara is getting full!

Any day in Beara gets full its the same size as Dingle with more to see more to do and folk say Dingle needs at least 2 days? I like Gleninchaquin and don't mind paying, why should I, it takes a lot of effort keeping the place accessible. There are a lot bigger wastes of €5 each. The falls are up round a valley in a bit of a bowl almost so not sure you would see them without getting fairly close.

Tony, the money isn't the problem at Gleninchaquin, but the belligerent attitude many people report receiving from the owner.

Apparently there are standing stones off to the right somewhere along the boreen and the waterfall can be seen from there. We will see what my family want to attempt. AS you say, much to do and see on the Beara.
