Ireland trip in May

Hello,

We will be in Ireland from 5/7 - 5/14. We're are looking at explore Ireland on our own and this is our first time in Ireland. Below are our tentative plan, any suggestion would be very appreciate.
Land in Dublin on 5/6 at 8:45am
Drive from Dublin to Cork and stay there for 3 nights.
then headed to Galway for 2nights and then to Dublin for 3 nights.
Is this a good way to go.... Also any suggestion what to see at the three city.
Thank you

I would start in Dublin if you arrived from overseas. And not drive across the island with jetlag .
In general, your plan sounds as if you only plan to see those three cities. Any reason or special interest that makes you skip the rural/coastal areas with smaller towns and villages?

No, we will want to see the rural/coastal areas within each of the city we stop. We did not want to checkin/out of the hotel.

I would have Day 1 Dublin or no further than Kilkenny. take this day either off the end Dublin or Cork. Kenmare or Killarney would be my choice over Cork especially if you are putting in 3 days. Another alternative if you insist on hitting the ground running would be to reverse the route. Galway is an Hour closer to Dublin Airport than Cork.
