IRELAND TO AMSTERDAM - HELP!

My family and I will be driving Dublin, Thomastown, Kenmare, Limerick and then on to Amsterdam. We be staying at the Adare Manor in Limerick. The question is: Should we fly Cork to Amsterdam (only flights are 6:10am and 5:00pm)with a 1 hour, 15 min drive down to Cork, or drive the three hours to Dublin Airport (flights are 9:40am, 11:10am, 2:15pm).I'm worried about arriving in Amsterdam at night and losing a day there. But I also don't want to feel pressured to make it to Dublin Airport in a certain amount of time. By the way, we are traveling to Ireland in September.

I'd fly from Cork. Driving back to Dublin can take a lot of time (sometimes a lot more than 3 hours) and getting to the airport on the motorway can be difficult at certain ti mes of the day. Getting to Cork is much more manageable.

Get the 6.10 am flight and then you have an extra day in Amsterdam.

Can't see the point of driving to Dublin - the 9:40am flight means you'll have to leave Limerick at the same time you would if you were getting the 6:10 from Cork

As you are going to Dublin, have you thought about doing it at the end of your trip - or splitting the time you spend there

Thanks for the help. I was originally going to fly out of Cork but started second guessing my decision. We will probably just leisurely drive down to Cork, eat lunch and take the 5pm flight. We will have 4 nights and 3 full days in Amsterdam. I'm hoping this is enough time to get a taste of the city. If we took the 6:10am flight from Cork we would have to leave the hotel by 3:30am just to be safe.
