What beautiful memories this brings back. Dingle was our absolute favorite town,and we have many of the same pictures of Slea Head that you do.

Two precious souvenirs: A poster with the Pubs of Dingle whch we framed and my fisherman sweater. Our B&B owner in Dingle sent us to a friends' shop. I chose the yarn, the pattern, and buttons. About 6weeks later my own beautiful sweater arrived.

Sandylan----I guess I shouldn't have been so harsh. We drove it at midday and we did stop at Muchross House and Torc Falls, which were lovely. When we returned to Killarney we took the inner, fast road to aviod all of that traffic and it was fine.

Excellent report. When I opened your link to Dingle, I got chills up and down everywhere. I have many of the same pix from the Slea Head drive (well, maybe different sheep).

I have a poster of the Pubs of Dingle hanging in my dining room and I look at it and remember fondly almost daily.

But now, on to Paris for the first time.

I don't know what's going on with Photobucket. The photos used to be quite nicely displayed and now they are half.
Anyone know why?

OTOH, the musical TripWow in a post toward the end works just fine.

Ireland is a fantastic place to visit and we hope to return for more beautiful scenery and friendly people.

Driving the Nephin Drive near Westport

I loved Claire Island. They have a new ferry btw. That old one was rickety. We went into the community center and they were making felt slippers from raw wool. Wish we had known. It was fascinating to watch and would have loved to have taken the class. I so miss travel and Ireland.
