Ireland - Small Group Tours
Hello,
My husband and I will be visiting Southwestern Ireland in October of 2015 for 6 days. Has anyone had experience with the small group tours that are advertised? Wolfhound? Driftwood? Vagabond? Second time sending this question in. Maybe I'm not suppose to name the tour companies? Have I been booted off the forum? Hoping for a response. Thank you. Campobasso |
No -- you haven't been nuked. I just clicked on you profile and your other posts are there but I don't see any asking about tour companies.
Are you sure the first one posted? Sometimes there are glitches w/ the website and things don't take. It is perfectly OK to mention commercial sites . . . one just can't advertise or post to recommend a company one works for . . . I can't help you w/ any of those companies. CIE is good but they generally do larger groups. Rabbies is a very good company that does small groups -- mostly concentrating on Scotland - but they do really good tours in England so I assume their tours in Ireland are just as good. https://www.rabbies.com/tour_ireland.asp |
Good suggestion, JANISJ.
Rabbies offers seven tours in Ireland, three of which are shorter excursions that may fit into the poster's time frame. |
Thanks for your response.
We looked into Rabbies, they offer some small group tours but, not what we are looking for. We are going to try the Wolfhound Small Group Tours. They seem to offer some nice tours for six days. We'll do a review when we return in Oct 2015. Thank you again. Campobasso |
I'm considering Wolfhound for 2016. Will be anxious to hear how your trip went in Ireland! We are looking at the West 5 day tour. Will enjoy knowing how you planned your airport transport and where you lodged in Dublin upon arriving or departing. I read nothing but rave reviews on them on trip advisor.
