Ireland road trip 2016- Tips

Jump to last reply

My two friends and I are in the midst of planning a road trip around Ireland for 8 days from the 30th of May to the 7th of June. We are taking the ferry with our car and arriving into and departing from Dublin.
This is our plan to start with:

2 nights in Dublin
1 night in County Wicklow
2 nights in Kinsale

--We are then hoping to drive from Kinsale and spend a couple of nights in Galway, to then drive back to Dublin. However I wanted to see if there are any tips to possibly break up the trip from Kinsale to Galway as I gather this is a very long car journey. Further, is it wise to spend the last night in Dublin?

We are all experienced drivers and a 4 hour journey driving has become quite common for us, we will further all be sharing the driving so the long journeys proposed should not be too bad/?

Just looking for some advice/ tips....

Thanks in advance
