Ireland Honeymoon

My fiance and I are planning a honeymoon to Ireland in August 2003. We would prefer not to bounce around to a different hotel everyday. Does anyone have suggestions of great places to stay for 3 or 4 days at a time. We plan on spending a week in Ireland. Also, does anyone know of festivals, concerts, or rugby games during the week of Augusy 10. Thanks for any help.

If you want to stay in a larger town, we really liked Killarney and there's a wide range of prices for hotels there. If you prefer a smaller town, Kenmare is really charming. Either town offers a good base for sightseeing. Killarney has a good web site, just use the search engine of your choice.

I live in the South East. Personally i think the best place to go is the West. As the previous poster stated Killarney is beautiful. All of Kerry is pretty much good. However, i wouldn't miss out on Galway and the Islands.
