The weather's unpredictable. I was there late in November and had temps in the 40s and little rain.
We took things we could layer (fleece pullover over long-sleeved shirt over T-shirt). Took a good rain parka with a hood. Bought a woolen sweater over there. A second pair of shoes is a good idea.
Ireland is pretty casual, so you don't need dressy clothes unless you're planning to go to very upscale places...which most pubs are not.

Sure. But, you do know that Penn State plays Northwestern on November 8, don't you?

Which pub tour are you taking - through CIE tours? If yes, I'd be interested in your experiences after you return. I am planning a pub tour in March/April of 2004. Thanks!

I was just there this past weekend and currently live in London. The weather changes constantly...so bring layers. I wouldn't bother with shorts- jeans, hiking boots or like casual, but comfortable shoes. A fleece or sweater and definitely bring a rain jacket or wind-breaker of some kind. MaryZ is dead on- it's all very casual. Have a great trip!
