I had several outstanding dinners at the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis--really top shelf.

I've heard the Poet's Corner (in the Old Ground as well) is fabulous :)

Dromoland Castle is only a few miles from Ennis and is a splendid place to have a meal. President Bush stayed there about two years ago.
Non-residents will not always be able to get a booking for dinner though. The website is www.dromoland.ie

In Dublin

Malaysian - The Langkawi, Baggot St.
Indian- Maloti, South William St.
French - La Mere Zou, Stephens Green.
Tapas - Tapas, Georges St.
Italian - The Steps of Rome, Chatam St
Pub Grub, The Bank, College Green, also O'Neills on Suffolk Street.

There are so many restaurants in Dublin you will be spoiled for choice, have fun.

Sorry I cant recommend any in Ennis.

I can second Lucielou's recommendation of La Mere Zou in Dublin.

We are Francophiles who often visit Provence. This restaurant has a delightful Provencal character.

Brown's, upstairs from it,is a very nice continental restaurant as well.
