Anyone stayed there that could give me their thoughts?

If that's the same Murphy's as the pub, it's on Strand Street, a very busy area, and I'm betting it will be awfully noisy at night, with everyone standing outside in front of the pubs in the area smoking, drinking, and yacking it up. It wouldn't be my first choice if you want some peace and quiet at night. If you like to party, you'll be right in the midst of things. I've only had a few pints there in the afternoon.

Willerd, that is exactly where it is. Six out of ten in our group are in their 20s so we want to be able to at least walk within 5-10 minutes of the Pubs because I know that is where we will be in the evenings. I've been emailing B&Bs but alot are not responding. Has anyone else had this problem?

It is certainly in a central location. I just remember with the no smoking laws, it drove the smokers with their drinks out on the front sidewalks. I have no personal experience but can imagine what it would have been like in the evenings.

Perhaps someone else has some other experience or has actually stayed there.

We haven't stayed right in town, but as others have said, it could get noisy. There are other places to stay within walking distance. Look at The Lighthouse or Emlagh Lodge, just a couple of examples.

The Lighthouse is booked and Emlagh Lodge only has four rooms, which we need five. I have emailed several others but have rec'd no replies.
