How much money should I take to Ireland for my wife and me for 9 days? Air, car, and B&B's are paid for and we're doing a "Go-As-You-Please" tour.

I'll try to get this one started for you, although i may not be much help as I don't know what a "Go as you please" tour is, so you may already have these items below included already.

Lunch for 2: EUR20
Coffees/ drinks: EUR15
Dinner for 2: anywhere from EUR50 to EUR150, depending on what you like to eat, do you normally have starters, desserts, a bottle of wine etc. A medium restaurant range is say EUR80 per day.

That has you at EUR115 per day, before factoring in souvenirs, admission fees (presumably included in your tour?), petrol (I would allow EUR100 if you plan on lots of driving).

by go as you please i mean self drive.

OK, then you will need to allow for entry to attractions, say EUR25 per day - I'm guessing wildly here, not knowing what you want to visit.

That would give a conservative budget at EUR150 per day, so I'd allow EUR200 per day, give or take.

You do not have to take any money with you. Everyone will tell you to use your ATM card. It is the cheapest way to purchase Euros. Changing greenbacks at a bank or Bureau de change is much more expensive. When you arrive hit the ATM in the Airport for a few hundred Euro a few days later you will have a good idea of what your cash outlays are. Certain American ATM cards (Cap One for example) do not charge an ATM fee or a conversion fee. If you use your CC make sure they bill you in Euros not dollars as they fudge the exchange rate. Have fun
