Ireland -- Medieval feast at Dunguaire Castle

Has anyone attended the medieval feast at Dunguaire Castle outside Kinvara? We are traveling with a 9 and 12 year old and I wonder if it would be entertaining for them, too? We are sure to see the castle as we'll be staying in Kinvara, but we're trying to decide whether the evening feast would be worth doing.

I have never been but I think it would be great fun for kids. The food won't be gourmet but the experience will be fun for a family.

Has anyone done the castle dinner or traditional Irish dinner at Bunratty?

We did the Castle (Medieval) Banquet at Bunratty our first trip -- really enjoyed it. The food wasn't gourmet, but it was pretty good as was the entertainment. I would recommend it. I don't think I would go back, but I'm glad we did it.

I have done Dunguaire, Bunratty, and Knappogue. Food was similar in all places. I think Bunratty might be most fun for the kids. The one at Dunguaire was quite literary (at least when I was there), while the one at Bunratty had a lot of jokes and silly stories (and some serious stories) plus songs to for a singalong.
